It was done to celebrate his parent’s life together after his father’s passing from Dementia in 2017.

Solo Live
Although Andrew has done a lot of live work as part of the bands he has been in (particularly At Random), live solo bass shows have occurred only rarely. In the early 2000’s he played a solo bass show as part of the “Marion Square Eyes” series of events at the newly opened Marion Cultural Centre.
In 2002, Andrew played both a solo bass show and a second show with a bongo player as a feature for the opening of a new Adelaide art gallery called “Evolution Art”.

Production Commissions

Hello, I like particulary Thoughts of Empathy album. Congrats! Could you tell me more about two sculptures on the album cover foto. Is it a traditional artworks or modern one?
Very best,
Zorica Civric
Hi Zorica, thanks very much for your message and kinds words.
The sculptures on the cover are definitely modern ones. I bought them in the late ’90’s, on the Gold Coast (Queensland, Australia). This was at what is called the Carrara markets – I visited that particular stall a number of times as they had really authentic looking pieces (imported from various parts of Asia from memory), and I was trying to design parts of the house with that look and feel.
When it came to staging that photo, it felt like the most appropriate image to set up. I wanted it to have spiritual connotations, as I had genuine hopes that people would find the music conducive to thinking about the world in which we live. Lofty ambitions, I admit, but it felt right. Kind regards, Andrew
